Izzy Gold, Senior Frontend Engineer. I build web platforms
people actually use, at scale.

I'm Izzy Gold. For 8 years at OU (and 10+ on the web) I've shipped the front end, and increasingly the full stack, behind 50+ production sites for a national nonprofit network that reaches millions: Vue & Nuxt apps, headless WordPress, TypeScript APIs, payments, SSO and a native mobile app. I also contribute to WPGraphQL, Nuxt and Axios.

Not just pages. Platforms.

The last two years moved me well beyond templates, into architecture, migrations, security and infrastructure that dozens of teams depend on every day.

2026 Email & CRM migration

Zero-downtime migration from Acoustic to Braze

Every department's newsletters and sign-up forms depended on Acoustic: about 1.4 million contacts across 8 master databases (1,400,505 in total). Instead of a risky big-bang switch, I built a routing layer so lists could move one at a time.

  • Per-list routing microservice: each list goes to Acoustic, Braze, or both, with instant rollback and no front-end redeploys.
  • Rebuilt the public unsubscribe / preference center on top of it.
  • CSV import converter that validates department exports against an approved attribute registry and identity graph before writing via the Braze REST API.

Single sign-on across 50+ WordPress properties

Moving an entire organization's editors to SSO without locking anyone out takes more than a plugin. I designed the rollout as much as the code.

  • One drop-in mu-plugin, identical on every site, with three flags (enable · force · gate) for a staged, opt-in rollout.
  • Okta SAML for authentication, WordPress for authorization, so roles stay where editors expect them.
  • Read-only readiness audit across Kubernetes pods that lists exactly who would lose access before SSO is forced.

The donation stack behind dozens of campaigns

When a donor clicks “Give”, it has to work. I build and support the forms and payment flows used across NCSY regions, JLIC, Yachad, Teach Coalition and OU Torah.

  • Vue donation forms with one-time, recurring and split payments, sponsorships and tax-receipt lines.
  • Maintain the Gravity Forms checkout add-on and keep it compatible across Gravity Forms 3.x releases.
  • Built read-only triage tooling over production data + CloudWatch to find failed donors who never completed a gift.

Rebuilt NCSY.org as a multisite platform for every region

NCSY reaches 40,000+ teens a year through dozens of regional chapters. I architected the 2026 rebuild so one design system powers the national site and every regional subsite.

  • Parent theme + shared child theme on WordPress Multisite. Regions inherit blocks, nav and styling, but keep their own content.
  • Built-in Spanish localization: switch a subsite to Español and the whole front end translates (Argentina, Chile).
  • Local multisite mirror of production + content-migration runbook for zero-surprise launches.

2026 Learning platform · Multi-brand

One content engine behind a family of learning brands

A network of daily-learning sites and apps serves learners worldwide. I work across the TypeScript monorepo that powers all of them.

  • tRPC routers, admin back-office pages, scheduled jobs and the learning-cycle model that decides what's on today's schedule.
  • Embeddable web components that run the daily-learning widgets on partner sites.
  • Now building a native iOS + Android app for instructors to record, tag and publish lectures straight into the platform.

More from the last two years

The details that keep 50 sites healthy.

Teach Coalition advocacy

State-by-state advocacy sites across seven states, with an action center, rally pages, scholarship campaigns and accessible, motion-aware carousels.

CDN cache integrity

A purge plugin that clears Cloudinary fetch caches and CloudFront when media is deleted, with retries, multi-cloud support and backlog sweeps.

OU Donor Community

Redesigned tiered membership page with ACF-driven content with sensible PHP defaults, deep-linkable tabs and a live donor recognition list.

National pledge campaigns

A pledge platform where communities set shared goals and track them together, with campaigns, a live goal thermometer and team roles.

Media & publishing sites

Video episode platforms, a print magazine, a personal-finance site and a summer camp: video players, episode types, camp billing APIs and editorial tooling.

Production ownership

Sentry triage, Grafana checks, Snyk-clean CI and quick, clear turnaround for stakeholders across departments.

AI-native engineering

I ship faster with AI agents, and keep humans in the loop.

I turn team knowledge into reusable agent playbooks, wire tools like Asana and Figma into my editor over MCP, and published a multi-agent orchestration pattern for splitting work across models. The result: more shipped, with review, tests and safety checks still in place.

Have a platform that needs to ship?

I'm always happy to talk about frontend architecture, headless WordPress, Vue/Nuxt, or a role where I can make a big impact.
